BASIC FUNCTION:

The Human Resources Executive oversees the strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration, and evaluation of the human resources functions at Atech. The Human Resource Executive works collaboratively with the Human Resource Director to ensure all areas of HR are compliant and aligned with company goals. The executive is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies and processes for workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee engagement, legal compliance and recordkeeping, employee relations, total compensation, benefits and payroll. This position requires a true strategic business partner who is team player and capable of building and navigating the company’s vision for growth and shared outcomes while preserving the company culture and commitment to making people a priority and to making Atech a great company.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Partner with executive leadership team to formulate, develop, implement, and evaluate HR and Talent Management Strategy to achieve the organization's vision, mission and goals. Regularly engage in direct communication with the owners on key human resources matters.

Align efforts with company culture, values and champion a positive employee experience by developing and leading HR programs that empower and engage team members.

Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure that the organization is effectively and efficiently sourcing and selecting the right candidates.

Develop and drive talent management strategies to ensure effective staffing alignment with the needs of the business. Create systems to attract talent, identify critical talent needs, develop core competencies and corresponding development opportunities.

Identify ways to increase staff retention and productivity, including strategies to enhance employee engagement, leadership, and staff development, regular feedback and coaching, career opportunities and promoting an exceptional organizational culture that positions Atech as and industry leader and company of choice.

Lead the effective and efficient administration of the performance management process, making sure that the organization’s managers and supervisors are equipped to engage in constructive and ongoing feedback and coaching, collaborate effectively when co-managing staff, and encourage staff to actively participate in identifying and addressing performance gaps.

Mitigate legal risk to the organization through proactive training and education, clear systems and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees and customers, handling and investigating complaints of harassment/discrimination and other unjust practice allegations.

Maintain current knowledge and application of all relevant laws and regulations at the local, state, and national level relating to employment and ensure organizational compliance. This includes educating and advising managers and senior leaders on HR-related legal and regulatory matters and ensuring HR programs, best practices and policies are aligned. Ensure that employee files and records are properly and securely maintained. Ensure company handbooks are compliant and updated regularly. When necessary, work strategically with legal counsel to ensure company compliance with all HR related matters.

Design and implement a competitive compensation system and benefit package to attract and retain staff. Partner with leadership team to develop a competitive salary/benefit package. Regularly review compensation and benefits by market data, monitor pay practices and proactively address issues, manage benefit broker resources and benefits enrollment process, manage leave administration, administer 401K plan, oversee payroll function including multi-state taxes and compliance with all compensation/benefits audits and annual state and federal requirements.

Design and implement a strategy to optimize and integrate HR technology, enabling managers and employees to easily perform people-related transactions (e.g., benefits enrollment, timekeeping, payroll, vacation requests). Stay abreast of current industry trends that may help facilitate delivery of effective HR services and promote company culture.

Share valuable human resource insights, driven by analyzing people data and key performance indicators to ensure optimal growth and scalability. Provide input, coaching, mentoring and developmental feedback to all levels of employees regarding human resource execution.

Have vision to take charge and make decisions in the human resource department that make a significant contribution to our most important resource and asset; our people.

Required Education, Licenses, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field

HRCI and or SHRM Certification required or attained within one year of hire.

A minimum of 7 years of HR generalist experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align and implement HR and organizational development strategies

Experience managing and developing staff

Experience implementing strategies and systems for talent management, compensation and benefits, and HR technology

Strong business acumen and leadership abilities

Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and other compliance issues

Ability to listen and probe to understand underlying need and or root cause of an issue

Ability to provide thoughtful, progressive and strategic guidance

Expertise in analysis, critical decision making, project management and process improvement

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations

Demonstrate ability to anticipate and solve problems

Outstanding judgment, sensitivity to high discretion

Ability to identify, influence and collaborate with executive team to achieve company goals

Team player with a positive attitude

Transportation and logistics knowledge helpful but not necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
