Lead Optician/ Optical Sales Manager Wanted
Our small private optometry office is looking for a Lead Optician. We emphasize
excellent customer service and educating our patients in a friendly team atmosphere.
This position includes patient care, customer service, ability to understand insurance
benefits and ability to communicate well. We provide vision and primary medical eye
care. We offer a varied selection of quality frames and lens options, contact lens care,
and computer vision care. You will be expected to assist patients and offer excellent
service.
We are looking for an experienced Optician to run our Optical Department. We are
looking for someone who is outgoing and enjoys helping people solve their eye care
needs. You must be a problem-solver and know how to run an Optical Department.
The Optical Department:
● pricing/calculating proper frame and lens pricing
● working with and evaluating insurance benefits
● frame selections (proper fitting and cosmetic aspects, sales)
● adjusting, minor repairs, ordering, verifying orders, troubleshooting
● creating an enjoyable purchasing experience for patients!
Neutralize glasses accurately and in a timely manner using manual and auto lensometer
Other Duties Include:
● greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments
● assisting in obtaining insurance authorizations and billing insurance
● working with labs and frame vendors
● maintain inventory of frames and working within a budget
Our preferred candidate would possess the following:
● strong administrative skills and computer, data entry skills
● sales and customer service experience
● 5 years experience as an Optician
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, accuracy, dependability,
professionalism, and a positive attitude towards learning. Attention to detail is a must.
