The Community Development Commission (CDC) is currently recruiting to fill a position at either the I or II level. If you are interested in being considered for either level, you must apply to the separate, concurrent recruitments being conducted for that level.

CDC Occupancy Specialists help Sonoma County Housing Authority clients navigate policies and regulations and determine housing program eligibility and compliance. As key contacts for housing program recipients and community partners, the Occupancy Specialist plays a vital role in reviewing client's eligibility for rental assistance programs. The Occupancy Specialist is responsible for processing annual and interim recertifications for a caseload of approximately 450 client households. Typical duties of the position also include:

Communicating with clients with a high volume of email and phone contacts

Reviewing income, assets, and medical expense documentation

Calculating tenant rent portions and utility allowances, and answering ongoing questions from clients

Following up with client household changes and maintaining client files

Answering related questions from owners/property managers
