The Human Services HR Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the department on all Human Services Department (HSD) recruitment and hiring needs, including serving as an HR subject matter expert for managers, supervisors, and employees. They will provide direct support on employee medical needs, including explaining rules, regulations, and policies to departmental staff ensuring continuity of operations throughout the department. Additional responsibilities include:
Serving as a liaison for managers, supervisors, and other county departments to ensure HR processes are running smoothly and efficiently
Working with central HR to draft and finalize HSD job announcements
Supporting the department on position control requests and personnel reporting
Collaborating with central HR and HSD divisions to identify and implement timely selection processes
Analyzing department personnel trends
Working closely with current staff and management on HR-related matters
Researching and reviewing applicable State/Federal regulations, HR/Safety policies and procedures, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), and the Salary Resolution to assist with responding to departmental inquiries
Drafting, reviewing, and updating documents such as requisitions, emails, interview questions, department organizational charts, medical leave and accommodation approvals/denials, and general policies/procedures
