Mago is currently seeking a part time host to join our small team. Founded by Chef Mark Liberman, Mago is a hospitality first environment, creating a safe and fun work environment for all, while never sacrificing on the quality of the product served. We are a fine dining restaurant offering a contemporary expression of Colombian cuisine, utilizing the delicious ingredients of Northern California through a daily changing tasting menu.
The ideal candidates are eager to learn and grow with our team. Our team is very small and we are looking for someone that can really embrace being a part of our team. Must be a charismatic person who is comfortable speaking with guests, running food to tables and working in an open floor-plan. The right candidate should be self motivated, a go-getter and able to step in wherever is needed as we are a small team that relies on quick action.
Candidates must be reliable, motivated, hardworking and have a commitment to service.
Example of host duties:
Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
Assist with printing and folding daily menus
Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability work in an ever changing environment, our menu changes daily
Current Food Handler Permit.
Positive attitude and team mentality
COMPENSATION: Competitive pay, 401K and health insurance for full time employees after 60 days.
