Hook & Line is a fun and lively modern seafood eatery in downtown Santa Cruz. The restaurant provides a unique take on responsibly sourced seafood, with an ingredient-driven menu created by the celebrated Chef Santos Majano. Our beverage program showcases small production spirits, seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and organic and biodynamic wines produced with minimal intervention.
We are seeking a part-time Host with a genuine passion for hospitality to be the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a warm and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a smooth flow of service throughout the evening.
What we're looking for:
- Warm, welcoming demeanor with genuine hospitality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable) preferred
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Evening and weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday availability required)
- Professional communication skills
- Team player attitude
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting
