We are looking for a skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our venture, overseeing all aspects of our F&B operations and leading a team of skilled hospitality and culinary professionals. This is a leadership role that encompasses day to day operations for a bar, restaurant and live entertainment space, as well as associated administrative duties, marketing & sales, and handling of private event rentals. You will be directly responsible for driving business growth, and vital to the success of our company.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Ownership Team, the Food & Beverage Manager sets the tone for Food & Beverage Service by passionately modeling our values of providing fresh, vibrant, and exciting hospitality experiences. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading the service team in excellent service, creating and maintaining an inviting delightful dining and drinking environment, and ensuring the cleanliness of all areas, including cookware. The Food & Beverage Manager is a vital leadership role and must ensure the smooth running of the department in line with the mission, vision, and values of the company. The position overlaps with several other departments, including integrating directly with our live events program

Accountabilities:

Build and maintain excellent relationships and communication within the department, both with front of house and back of house staff

Advise Ownership Team and other members of overall management team of pertinent matters that may have an impact on the department

Drive business growth and sales through marketing initiatives. Develop, propose, and execute marketing initiatives

Help develop and grow private event rental sales. Handle associated administrative tasks

With direction from the Ownership Team, create and lead service standards in line with the company cuisine profile and the mission, vision, and values of the company

Hire, train and ensure staff are following policies and procedures. Provide feedback, develop staff, and perform disciplinary action as needed

Interact with guests continually to ensure excellent service and communicate food-related questions to the back of house team

Schedule staff to ensure the maintaining of staffing budgets and adequate staff coverage

Perform HR duties associated with direct reports on the F&B team

Be on duty manager during service times, making guest contact and ensuring service meets or exceeds the standards

Supervise, direct, and organize the work of the staff ensuring efficient and effective execution of all tasks

Ensure daily protocols for high standards of safety and sanitation are being met in the restaurant service areas, all guest areas, kitchen, dining room, and dish room

Work with all other departments to create a culture focused on welcoming guests and providing a delightful experience

Create and implement training for all service staff ensuring excellent service and a knowledgeable team

Create and execute training for all staff ensuring sanitation protocols are being met.

Oversee equipment maintenance in the service area and dining rooms.

Ensure that all dining room and dish room supplies are ordered and available for use as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and impeccable customer service standards

Ability to own financial responsibilities, P&L expectations, restaurant inventories, appropriate parts for approved orders, ability to report accurate financial information to ownership and management team and create and approve all schedules for employees to budget.

Experience and skills in using computer systems (G Suite, Excel etc.) as well as Bar & Restaurant POS Systems and associated reporting capabilities

Familiarity with Marketing techniques and upselling within the F&B, private event rental and live entertainment space

Experience in the service industry with the front of house. Experience interacting directly with the back of house team.

Management experience preferably in a large-scale dining environment

Experience providing an excellent guest experience, including creating loyalty and repeat customers

Experience managing a team to high levels of sanitation and safety

Proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with the management team and direct reports

Proven ability to build successful relationships with both superiors and colleagues

Enthusiastic about process improvement.

Highly collaborative, flexible team player, keen to engage in positive, supportive, professional relationships.

5+ years in the food & beverage industry, and at least 2-3 years experience managing successful teams
