Job Summary
We are a small, high-end Omakase Japanese restaurant in San Francisco, offering a refined and intimate dining experience with a strong focus on quality, detail, and hospitality. With only 15 seats, we are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Restaurant Manager who can lead by example, support our team, and help us deliver exceptional service every night.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee daily front- and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Lead, train, and mentor a small team of staff with an emphasis on consistency, hospitality, and attention to detail.
Support kitchen operations when needed, working closely with chefs to maintain high standards.
Manage staff scheduling, monitor performance, and foster a positive work environment.
Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards in both FOH and BOH.
Handle guest communication and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Monitor supply levels and assist in inventory and ordering.
Participate in menu development discussions and service improvements.
Provide reports on sales performance and staff productivity.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong leadership and multitasking skills; able to step in wherever needed.
Experience in Japanese cuisine or fine dining a plus.
Skilled in staff training, performance development, and creating a strong team culture.
Fluent in English (Japanese language skills are a plus).
Passionate about food, service, and hospitality, with a willingness to grow.
