Gold Palm is a new bar and restaurant in Uptown Oakland, just steps from The Fox Theater. Our small, but focused menu consists of Pakistani-inspired small plates along with a couple of salads and a few heartier dishes. We pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients and running a very clean, organized and efficient kitchen.
We are seeking an experienced AM Prep Cook to join our team. Preferably someone who wants to learn and grow with us, with potential opportunity to for more hours/responsibility. Tuesday and Friday availability is a must to start. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- receiving and stocking deliveries
- preparing both meat and vegetable ingredients as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Accurately measuring and mixing ingredients according to the recipes
- basic cooking tasks including making sauces and marinades
- keeping the prep station(s) clean
- keeping the kitchen organized
- setting up stations for the PM team
- washing dishes
- adhering to all health and safety standards
