Seeking experienced chef to prepare weekly meals for a couple located in Marin.

The couple is knowledgeable about food and requires high quality ingredients from specific vendors as well as specific execution of dishes. Enjoys Southern Italian cuisine centered around pasta, shellfish, salmon, whole grains, chickpeas, and seasonal produce. Their preferred flavor profile is bright and fresh — using mostly lemon juice, olive oil, and sea salt.
Each Monday, the chef arrives to the home to prepare breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner for the week. This is typically a 7-8 hour day plus another 2-3 hours of menu creation and client communication outside of the kitchen per week.
Menus are sent to the client 5 days before for approval and the client is able to request changes if desired.
This is a position suitable for a highly organized, professional, and communicative individual who has excellent listening skills so that they can deeply understand the client's preferences.
Trial / Start Date: Mid-July
Ideal Candidate:
— must have 5+ professional chef experience (ideally in both restaurant and in private homes)
— bonus for experience at restaurants such as (Cotogna, Flour + Water, La Ciccia)
— must have extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine
— Southern Italian is the preferred cuisine of the family
—is able to take feedback and integrate it in their cooking, not taking anything personally

This is a 1099 contractor position, paid as a day rate. The client will have a trial date with chef before the relationship becomes contractual.
