Greens Restaurant, a SF Chronicle Bay Area Top Vegetarian & Classic restaurant, is hiring for a pastry cook position.

Led by nationally acclaimed chefs, Greens Restaurant has become one of the most celebrated restaurants in the world.

The ideal candidate is committed, enthusiastic, detail-focused, and is willing to grow their experience in the vegetarian workplace.

We prefer an experienced pastry cook with at least 2 years of high-volume kitchen experience. Must have a valid food handlers certificate or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Must be familiar with proper kitchen hygiene including time-temperature control, sanitizing, and preventing cross-contamination. Reading, following and scaling recipes is a must.

Responsibilities of this position include:

- Station prep and maintaining mise en place for all services

- Preparing and executing recipes for all menus, including events, desserts, breads, and more

- Managing time and completing prep lists daily

- Communicating clearly and directly with the team and kitchen management

- Maintaining a clean and organized work station

This position is full time. Weekends and some holidays are required. Full time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits, 401k with company matching, sick and vacation time. Wage commensurate with experience.
