About the Role
As our Lead Bartender at Pizzeria Delfina's Burlingame location, you'll have the exciting opportunity to implement our liquor program while mentoring a talented team in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. This position offers the rare chance to make your mark on a new beverage initiative within our established restaurant.
What You'll Do
Implement Our Liquor Program: Implement cocktail specifications, batching systems, and standard operating procedures
Lead Staff Training: Design and execute comprehensive training programs for bar and service staff
Oversee Bar Operations: Manage beverage ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships
Create & Innovate: Collaborate on seasonal menu development while maintaining consistency and quality standards
Manage Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash handling
Grow Our Team: Participate in hiring, coaching, and developing bar staff
What You Bring
2+ years of experience in a Bar Manager or Lead Bartender role
Experience implementing cocktail programs and operational systems
Knowledge of inventory management, drink costing, and profit/loss concepts
Passion for creating a bar program that aligns with Pizzeria Delfina's brand identity
Strong leadership qualities: maturity, respect, energy, and integrity
Excellence in both verbal and written communication
Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Compensation
$27 - $37 per Hour (base hourly + tips)
Opportunity to earn additional income through your direct involvement in bar service
