ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead daily operations with a focus on beverage quality and consistency, ensuring each drink meets our exacting standards
Master and maintain proficiency in all beverage preparation techniques and recipes
Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members to ensure the cafe is properly staffed with skilled baristas
Manage and delegate daily functions including drink preparation, customer service, inventory management, and cleaning duties
Oversee ordering, inventory, and invoice reconciliation for all ingredients and supplies
Drive sales growth while managing labor costs and controlling inventory through provided systems
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices in beverage preparation and handling
Maintain all safety and security policies as set by the Company
Train and coach team members during each shift to uphold company standards and beverage quality
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for staff
Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration of brewing and preparation tools
Foster relationships with regular customers and maintain community engagement
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of cafe or beverage service experience, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and beverage preparation techniques
Legally able to work within the State and Federal Guidelines
Food Handler's Certification required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with POS systems and inventory management software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Continuous standing and walking throughout shifts
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (including coffee beans, milk containers, supplies)
Regular reaching, bending, and fine motor skills for beverage preparation
Constant face-to-face interactions with team members and customers
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Multi-tasking abilities while maintaining attention to detail
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical shifts are eight hours, though duration may vary
Early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
Opening and closing responsibilities
Fast-paced, dynamic cafe environment
Must maintain professional appearance and follow company uniform standards
Temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions
