Our kitchen team is professional, collaborative, and dedicated to producing high-quality meals with efficiency and care. We work out of a beautiful, fully equipped commercial kitchen on the Oakland/Emeryville border, complete with gated parking and secure building access for staff.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in catering or high-volume kitchens, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt to a variety of menus and service styles. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic, creative food business.
Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday
6pm - 2am
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and package meals for delivery, events, and fine dining service.
Assist in menu execution for family meals, corporate and school programs, and catered events.
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen equipment procedures.
Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team and leadership to meet production goals.
Support event setups and off-site service as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in catering, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environments.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Strong knife skills and culinary techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have legal work status in the United States.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Candidates must be able to perform the physical and mental requirements of the position to successfully execute essential functions, including but not limited to:
Lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. of product regularly.
Working safely with cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment.
Climbing stairs and walking/standing for most of the shift.
Occasionally stooping, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms.
Speaking, hearing, and maintaining focus in a busy environment.
Having close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
