Baron's Quality Meats is a traditional neighborhood butcher shop located in the Castro Valley Marketplace.
We are a Full Service Butcher Shop featuring Red Meat Poultry and Seafood
We are looking to expand our team with Meat Cutters and Counter Help.
Salary to be determined by experience and skills ($20-$25 Plus tips (Avg $8+/hour))
Part-time and Full-time positions are available
We strive to provide our customers with the finest products available, and the best customer service experience possible.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Greeting and waiting on customers as well as checking them out through the cash register
Portioning, Weighing, Packaging, Vacuum Sealing, Labeling Meat, Grocery and Beverages
Receive, unload, and put away product deliveries.
Understand and protect food safety.
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, tools, and equipment.
Ensure all cases and shelves are clean and well-stocked.
Daily butchering; Setting up and breaking down display cases
Perform duties related to the cutting and preparation of beef, pork, lamb, poultry, sausages, and ready-to-cook products.
Follow store procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking products.
With experience, you will operate electric meat saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment.
Maintaining high safety sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
Experienced in retail and food service with good knife skills.
A positive attitude, be reliable, organized.
You have flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays as needed.
You should be able to stand for up at least 5 hours/day
You should be able to lift/carry up to 50-80 lbs.
Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
Food Service Handlers Card necessary
