Job Summary:
We are seeking a Retail Specialist to manage our Italian Alimentari market by overseeing inventory, ordering, stocking, and product displays. This role ensures that all retail and food items are well-organized, fresh, and readily available for customers while maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about Italian products and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts.
Ordering & Vendor Coordination: Place and track orders with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Stocking & Organization: Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods properly while keeping shelves and storage areas neat, labeled, and well-maintained.
Quality Control: Check expiration dates, rotate stock and ensure all products meet quality and safety standards following food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized storage environment.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records of inventory levels, orders, and supplier details to support purchasing and budgeting decisions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in Italian food retail, gastronomy and specialty grocery stores.
Strong knowledge of Italian products, regional specialities and traditional food culture.
Experience in inventory management, retail operations, or food handling preferred.
