Compensation: $20-30 per hour + tips (based on experience)

We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Bartender/Assistant Beverage Director who has expertise in crafting Japanese-style cocktails to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As the Bartender/Assistant Beverage Director at Co Nam, you will play a dual role, both as the face of our bar and as the leader who ensures our bar operations run smoothly. You will craft both classic and innovative cocktails, with a particular focus on Japanese craft cocktails that highlight our menu's unique flavors. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading the bar team to maintain the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Craft and Serve Beverages: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with an emphasis on Japanese craft cocktails, following recipes and customer preferences.

- Bar Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, including scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision.

- Customer Interaction: Engage with guests, provide recommendations, and ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the bar.

- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and ingredients.

- Inventory and Ordering: Manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and conducting regular stock checks.

- Compliance: Adhere to all local and state laws regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs and ensuring responsible beverage service.

- Team Leadership: Train and mentor bar staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable and capable of delivering excellent service.

- Upselling: Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience is required, with a preference for candidates with 5 or more years of experience. Prior experience in a bar management role is highly desirable.

- Specialty Knowledge: Strong expertise in crafting Japanese cocktails, along with a solid understanding of beer, wine, and spirits.

- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for providing outstanding service.

- Efficiency: Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
