We are seeking a seasonal dishwasher / prep cook. Full time or part time available.
The Dishwasher / Prep Cook position is primarily responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace in the kitchen, washing dishes, and assisting the Estate Chef during food service by prepping for daily lunches and the creation of cheese plates and other prep items. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, flexible schedule, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
Duties:
Report and follow Estate Chef's instruction.
Washes all wares including prep items, flatware, and serving plates.
Maintains stock of folded kitchen towels, & cleaning supplies.
Correctly places clean equipment, plates, and flatware in assigned storage areas.
Maintains a clean and organized dishwashing & drying station.
Ensures proper chemicals are stocked for the dishwashing station.
Maintains a clean bussing station, outdoor prep area, and dry storage.
Sweeps and mops floors at the end of shifts, or as needed.
Takes garbage/compost/recycling out at the end of shifts, or as needed.
Helps assist with cleaning all kitchen surfaces and refrigerators.
Assists chefs with prep-work as directed by the Estate Chef and Executive Chef
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary mise-en-place.
Execute cheese plates for tasting pairings.
Shifts are typically 10am-6:30pm but can vary due to events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Stand on hard surface for extended periods
Grasp, stoop, squat, climb stairs, push or pull, carry and reach over shoulder
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
