A Restaurant Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Customer Services and the overall supervision of restaurant staff. He/she is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the restaurant including measuring customer service, maximizing sales/profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses, and ensuring the quality of the service provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Restaurant management.
Manage all staff and enforce all company standards through proper scheduling, training, development, written performance reviews, and excellent communication;
Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentation, and signage standards;
Ensure an efficient work environment by managing customer and employee complaints, and modifying, creating and/or enforcing procedures and processes to meet deadlines;
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by inspecting facilities and equipment to ensure regulatory compliance; and
Other duties as assigned by owner.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Typically, directly supervises 2 to 15 employees at the restaurant, including all supervisors. Manager supervises employees in accordance with the Company’s policies, training programs, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
