Touro University California is seeking individuals who are non-diabetic to participate in a research study on how dietary fructose affects metabolic risk factors for diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
The study consists of:
- A screening visit (1hr), a baseline visit (4hr), and 4 separate test days (7-8hr each; 2-6 wks apart) at the Metabolic Research Center on the Touro University California campus.
- Consuming a 3-day diet provided by the study prior to each test day.
Eligibility:
- Adult volunteers, 20-55y old.
- Non-diabetic
- Not taking diabetes or lipid-lowering medication.
- No history of HIV, cancer, kidney, or liver disease.
- Women should not be pregnant or nursing.
- A clinic screening visit and blood draw will determine final eligibility. We will provide a copy of your screening test results.

Participants who complete the study will receive $1000. The study is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
