Daniel Macdonald AIA Architects, Inc. (DMAIA) is an award-winning architectural firm located in Novato (Marin County).
The diversity of our types of projects is wide-ranging: from commercial through residential, mixed-use, retail, space planning, entertainment, winery, and beyond.
We are seeking a Project Architect or project leader who is collaborative, motivated and experienced.
We work, design, and manage our projects as a team from our office in downtown Novato. As an integral member of the team, this person must work in our office, not remotely.

This person will have early involvement in the design process and help us develop projects through preliminary design, planning department approvals, design development, construction documents and construction administration. He or she will be the primary technical resource for the project's team (with help and support from our Projects Director and Principal).
The Project Architect / Project Lead shares the design and production leadership role with the Projects Director. The primary responsibility is to implement the design intent of the project into a comprehensive set of construction documents.
Desired (but not required) Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in producing construction documents for commercial projects.
- Pursuing an architectural license in California (if not already licensed here)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.
- Demonstrated work experience in several of DMAIA's project types.
- Proficiency in Autocad and/or Revit to the level of efficient production of design and construction documents.
