Construction Project Manager

We are a San Francisco-based construction firm specializing in public sector projects, focusing on building improvements and tenant improvements. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Project Manager to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with a strong background in construction management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a drive to successfully manage complex projects from start to finish. The Project Manager will oversee projects, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and according to contract specifications.

Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Leadership: Manage all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction to close-out.

Budget & Cost Control: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost reports to ensure financial accountability.

Scheduling & Coordination: Develop project schedules, oversee subcontractors, and ensure timely completion of milestones.

Risk & Contract Management: Review contracts, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Communication & Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing regular updates.

Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and enforce quality control measures.

Procurement & Resource Management: Oversee procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and material purchases.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Project management experience in public sector and federal construction projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Procore and scheduling software (such as Primavera P6 or MS Project) is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and project scheduling.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for progress meetings, client updates, and documentation.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to visit job sites regularly, navigate active construction environments, and engage with field teams.
