LVI Engineering is a heavy civil engineering, construction, and service company. We specialize in various construction activities such as building demolition, excavation, grading, utility installation, structural shoring, and helical piles. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, project scheduling, and estimating. This role requires effective communication and leadership skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
BS, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
Experience working with Federal, Caltrans, and local agencies
Extensive experience in road, bridge, and heavy civil estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required
Applicants should be experienced in quantity takeoffs and pricing for the following trades: excavation, grading, underground utilities, water treatment plants, and paving
Develop detailed project estimates and budgets
Excellent organizational, supervisory, and decision-making/problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Manage the entire estimating process and preparation of unit price bids
Uphold the core values of the company
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Construction Assistant Project Manager (minimum 1 year) or in a similar role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of project coordination processes and construction management principles
Familiarity with Civil 3D for site design and planning is a plus
Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of contract negotiation and administration
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to lead teams effectively
A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Bluebeam and drafting a plus
