This role involves estimating for all types of underground, heavy civil construction for both the private and public sector

The position we are filling is for an Estimator with the basic knowledge of this sector. We have a very experienced staff that is prepared to train the right candidate or if you have industry experience, will be able to guide you quickly towards producing excellent work.

What You’ll Do:

Write detailed scopes of work for all type of underground and civil construction projects.

Prepare accurate estimates using excel and B2W bid software ( training Provided)

Review and finalize job scopes with adjusters, clients, and subcontractors.

Assist Project Managers and Lead Technicians to ensure project success.

Reinforce job documention accountability with field personnel to ensure accurate estimation.

Collaborate with the Operations Manager on project coordination and outcome evaluation.

Track project financials and profitability to ensure job success.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders.

Work closely with A/P team on collection of oustanding amounts.

Insurance negotiation & settlements.

Maintain comprehensive job documentation for future reference and compliance.

Identify project risks and develop strategies to resolve issues.

Participate in an on-call rotating schedule to assist in responding to water/fire emergencies after hours.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Proficiency in excel and word is mandatory.

At least 2 years of experience in the construction sector.

Strong understanding of industry software and estimating processes.

Preferred certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or related qualifications.

A valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset.

Other Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Work Schedule: Willingness to work overtime, travel locally, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services.

Background Check: Successful completion of a background check, subject to applicable laws.

Office Attendance: Report to Novato, CA at 7:30 a.m. each morning for daily stand-ups.

Monday to Friday
