We are excited to announce an opportunity for a teacher/caregiver to young infants in the infant room. This could be a great position for a former nanny or someone interested in the childcare field who is ready to work full time.
We are a high quality infant care and preschool Center, enriching children’s lives and the community since 1985. Our play-based philosophy and parent partnership focus on NAEYC best practices and make learning fun.
Key Responsibilities:
Care for infants, observe and support their growth and development.
Maintain a safe clean, nurturing and organized environment.
Supervise indoor and outdoor activities.
Maintain respectful interactions with infants, parents and other teachers.
Demonstrate proficiency in the understanding of stages of development, and communicating progress with parents.
Fluent in English
Qualifications:
12 college units in early childhood education (ECE) including 3 units Infant/Toddler care.
6 months’ experience in a childcare setting working with infants, preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass background check
TB Test and Health Screening and proof of vaccinations
Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certificate, preferred or we will train
Complete 3 hours online Infectious Disease Prevention training (we pay for your time), and 3 hours online Sexual Harassment Awareness (we pay for your time), within three months of employment.
Able to lift 30 pounds chest high; bend, kneel for working with young children.
