Please note the following:

Dates June 26 - July 28, 2024

This position is an on-campus overnight position. Room/Board included.

7/24 availability and working long hours during the course of the program (4 WKS)

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Camp Manager to oversee the operations of our summer camp program. As a Summer Junior Program Manager (JPM), you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ESL Camp and managing program staff, including Activity Leaders, Head Teachers, ESL Teachers, and Residence Advisors and prepare or supervise the preparation of payroll for every member of the staff of the Junior Program. Other duties include working with head office, assisting with transportation and logistics, activity development, student discipline, expense management and payroll, prepare/ supervise weekly expense reports. The JPM also assists with reviewing invoices from vendors and the final bill from the university as well as ensuring that departure surveys are completed by group leaders/ students. This is an on-campus position meaning you will be living in the dorms arriving the week prior to the first intake date of students.

Principal duties and responsibilities (in addition to the above):

Academics

1. Train, develop and supervise lead teacher/ teachers to implement the CISL English Junior Program (jointly with lead teacher). Supervise the head teacher in planning the weekly teaching schedule and use arrival and departure information on students to maximize efficiency through teacher/student ratio.

2. Welcome new students and coordinate orientation and testing of new students on arrival.

3. Ensures that the students are grouped in the appropriate English level.

4. Prepare student grouping information in the Registrar System.

5. Assist the Head Teacher in managing the academic resources and teaching facilities to ensure that books, teaching materials, videos, CDs and office supplies are available to support classroom activity and program in general.

6. Ensure quality control of English program by monitoring and supervising teachers to make certain that they are delivering a challenging academic program.

7. Classroom assignments

Supervise Resident Coordinator (RC) in the following responsibilities:

1. Coordinate airport “meet & greet” for groups to transfer to the residence upon arrival.

2. Ensure that CISL students receive a clean and comfortable room at the residence facilities designated.

3. Conduct the room matching.

4. Coordinate the rules and regulations with the group leaders and enforce them with the students, in cooperation with the designated residence authorities.

5. Supervise and monitor the students’ Residence Hall daily, to ensure safety and compliance with the rules.

6. Coordinate the daily meals, making sure that students are on time for the meals and maintaining daily accounting of meals consumed by students.

7. Complete the necessary meal accounting documents daily, to be turned in to the coordinator at the end of each week.

Train and supervise activity staff.

1. Supervise the planning and implementing of the Junior Activities Program in accordance with the Activities Calendar.

2. Coordinate the advance ticket purchases and reservations for student activities with the activities coordinator as needed, making sure the best prices are also obtained, taking advantage of all discounts available.

3. Ensure that bus passes are purchased and distributed to group leaders for distribution to students, in accordance with group agreements, as verified by the CISL office.

4. Coordinate preparation of orientation packages containing program and activities information for Group Leaders and students.

5. Manage Activities budget and maintain control of all expenses by completing a daily expense report and a weekly expense summary.

6. Ensure that all the activities are conducted in a professional manner by always placing the safety and welfare of the students first.

7. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

BA/BS

ESL Academic background /certification.

Experience working with teenagers in a camp or educational setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience managing others.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

Willingness and readiness to work hard for 4 weeks

In addition to the base compensation, there will be a Bonus incentive equal to 1 week's pay for successful completion of program and meeting certain KPI's
