Summer Camp Manager
Dates of Position: June 10 - July 26 4th of July week off
There will be two weekend trainings in May as well
Position Hours: Camp runs 9AM - 5:30PM, Director is on site at least 7:45AM until 4PM
Compensation: Hourly $28 - $33/hr plus End of Season Performance Based Bonus up to $1200

Come join a fun team of like-minded folks this summer as we share our love of cooking and yoga with youth! This will be our flagship year at our San Jose location and we are looking to hire a small, intimate crew to see us through our first summer. Given our small camp size, this position will essentially teach camp alongside another counselor and camp assistant while holding the higher camp duties of checking kids in, interfacing with parents, and confirming camp registrations.

Job Responsibilities:
Administration
Interface with parents regarding all camp communications, including registration, delivery of parent/guardian reports, resolving grievances, and acting as a communication bridge between parents and counselors.
Maintain close communication with the Camp Director to ensure camp is running smoothly
Ensure the program runs smoothly and remain on site during camp hours.
Record daily camp highlights, pictures and quotes for the weekly camp highlights newsletter.
Clearly communicate camp schedule, procedures and expectations to staff and provide guidance, support and constructive feedback.
Conduct daily morning staff meetings.
Oversee camp opening and closing procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures for all campers and with the venue.
Able to step in and teach hands-on culinary skills, yoga, and mindfulness if necessary.
Required Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of experience working with children in a school or camp setting.
1+ year management experience in any setting
Possess extensive knowledge of enrichment and recreation activities, and support a collaborative environment
Commitment to providing an education experience that is child-centered, safe, and inclusive.
Undergraduate degree, preferably in education, social sciences, or a related field
Physical requirements: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn, and to lift 25 pounds.
First Aid Certified- can be acquired after hire. (reimbursed)
Food Handler Certified- can be acquired after hire. (reimbursed)
