Position: Preschool Teacher
Days: Monday - Friday
Full-Time Hours: 8/8:30am-4:30/5pm (benefits)
Pay: $25/hour (start), $26/hour (2nd anniversary), $27/hour (5th anniversary)
General Function:
The Village Little Preschool Teacher assumes responsibility for supervising, planning, and executing activities within a nurturing Christian classroom environment that fosters love for Jesus, embraces God's Word, and emphasizes the significance of prayer.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ and support of Christian principles taught in the Holy Bible.
- Must have a minimum of 12 semester (18 quarter) units that cover the general areas of child growth and development, or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; and program/curriculum. Transcripts are required.
- A minimum of 6 months experience is required.
The physical demands of the position include:
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch. Ability to climb, push and pull. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to change diapers.
