Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a motivated Sales Coordinator to join our new store in San Mateo, CA. As the primary point of contact for our customers, the Sales Coordinator’s main objective is to assist current and prospective customers with their equipment rental needs while providing a top-notch customer service experience. The ideal person for this role is energetic, eager to help, and hungry to learn.

What you’ll do

Essential job duties and responsibilities for this role includes but are not limited to:

-Promptly greet customers and assist in the determination of their rental needs

-Administer, maintain, and manage all rental contracts, files, reservations, and additional documents

-Ensure contracts are closed and completed in a timely manner upon customers’ equipment return

-Inspection and documentation of equipment and applicable accessories returned

-Documentation of all damages of returned equipment and advise customers of any applicable costs

-Load and unload equipment and applicable accessories from the customers’ vehicle(s) as needed

-Schedule the delivery, pick up, and transportation of equipment and advise drivers of all logistic requirements

-Daily interaction with accounting staff for identification and resolution of customer contract/payment issues

-Inform outside sales staff of any potential projects or customers which may warrant a sales call

-Inform the equipment service shop of any equipment malfunctions or repairs

-Maintain and organize showroom and counter area

-Comply with all government and company safety policies, procedures, and regulations including reporting any unsafe equipment, incidents, conditions, or safety violations

-Conduct customer service representative job functions while wearing ALL required safety equipment

-Assist the shop, yard, parts, service, and delivery personnel as necessary

-Perform any other duties as requested by management

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

-Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

-Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)

-Must have 1 or more years of customer service experience

-Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

-Must be able to function well as part of a team

Work conditions and physical requirements

This work is physically demanding and will require a considerable degree of physical strength and stamina. Physical requirements include:

-Being able to stand for long periods of time

-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly

-Must have a clean driving record and current California drivers license

-Must be available to work on Saturdays

-This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending, and lifting objects of various weights and dimensions.

-Job functions may expose employees to chemicals, including but not limited to, gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, propane gas, cleaning solvents, and aerosol paints and cleaners. Due to the physical nature of these chemicals, a sense of smell is required.

Compensation and benefits

-$22-$25 per hour
