DNA LOUNGE - NIGHTCLUB MANAGER
Job Description:
We are a multi-use space, including dance parties, live music, performance art, comedy, theater and more. We are looking for someone with solid nightclub management experience, including advancing production needs for shows and parties.
Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable and experienced working late nights.
- Management experience and experience in the night club or entertainment industry is required.
- Strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit and a professional image.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate stressful situations.
- 5 years of experience in the entertainment industry working in a high volume nightclub.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advance shows with tour managers, outside promoters, and corporate clients.
- Properly administer policies and procedures for protecting the safety of guests and employees.
- Recruit, interview and hire staff; train, schedule, supervise and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate team members when necessary.
- Coordinate efficient processing of entry lines.
- Notice wear and damage to facilities and equipment.
- Typically be the first one on site and last one off site for nights where we are hosting events.
- Walk the venue premises to ensure the venue is running properly.
- Provide work directives, resolve problems, and set deadlines to ensure completion of operational functions.
Working Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledge of POS and back office reporting systems.
- Experience with employee scheduling software.
- Basic computer/network skills like rebooting iPads, connecting to wifi, etc.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Schedule varies from 3 to 6 nights a week.
- Weekends and holidays are required.
- Typical night is 7pm - 3:30am.
- Loud music is loud.
