We are seeking a well-versed and experienced Controller/Business Manager to join a thriving and dynamic local enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting support, with a diversified background across several functions including accounting, finance and general human resources support. With an eagle-eye attention to detail and established business acumen, this role will partner with Executive leadership and ownership regarding important strategy and operations oversight. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing accounting functions, and handling human resources duties to support the company's overall growth and success.

Key Responsibilities (What the job entails):

-Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting according to GAAP

-Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

-Lead financial analysis and decision-making processes to support strategic planning and business operations

-Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance

-Provide an employee-centric support team, versed in HR areas such as payroll and general human resources support

-Actively foster a positive work culture

-Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in all human resources practices.

-Oversight of HR functions including: payroll administration and benefits management to support employee well-being and satisfaction.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiencies in business operations and human resources functions.

-Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members to promote professional growth and development

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree preferred

-3 to 5 related years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in finance, accounting, and human resources management

-CPA or relevant professional certification preferred

-Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations

-Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

-Advanced proficiency with Quickbooks accounting software required and ERP systems a plus

-In-depth understanding of human resources best practices and California employment laws

-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

-Strategic thinker with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement

Pay and Benefits:Competitive base salary (DOE - up to $130,000) with bonus potential, competitive benefits package and family-centric, fun work culture!
