We are a small but busy income tax office in San Francisco. We are seeking a tax preparer (EA, CTEC, or CPA) to prepare individual tax returns.
Responsibilities and Qualifications include:
3+ years of experience in tax preparation.
Comfortable with interviewing clients and explaining their tax situations both in person and on the phone.
Able to Assist clients with IRS and FTB audit and tax notice responses.
Familiarity with Lacerte (or similar tax preparation software).
Detail oriented and willing to learn our office procedures.
General duties include preparing returns, reviewing co-worker returns, answering inquiries on the phone, and assisting in follow-up with clients.
Experience in fiduciary returns would be a bonus, however Individual tax return preparation is our primary focus.
We are interested in a qualified individual for full time work during the tax season. There is the possibility of a transition to part-time work during the offseason. Please send your resume and a little information about yourself.
