We are a local construction company based in Santa Rosa. We’re currently seeking an Accounts Receivable/Administrative Support person. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, in office, with benefits (Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401k with Employer Match, Paid Time Off).
Duties:
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data and reconciling data to confirm accuracy
Review contracts for billing and submission requirements, obtain, execute, and distribute preliminary paperwork such as certificates of insurance, preliminary notices, and other contract-related forms based on the contract/client needs
Prepare and execute billing packages including, but not limited to invoices, waivers, and billing worksheets
Enter and maintain billing change requests and change orders
Process payments received and check deposits in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Maintain tracking systems and communication for customer accounts, outstanding payments, job completion status, and job/client-related information
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable information
Assist with front-office tasks, including but not limited to answering multi-line phones, picking up and dropping off mail, and general office needs that may arise
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction-related accounts receivable preferred
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Strong organizational, time, and task management skills, and prioritizing tasks effectively
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong customer relations skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
