We design, install, and maintain space that provides an abundance of organic food while enhancing the natural environment. We also manage estate orchards.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking crew member to join our team. This position involves hands-on work in all aspects of edible landscaping, including soil preparation, planting, propagating, pruning, irrigation, maintenance, and harvesting. We are currently looking for someone to work 3-5 days a week. If you love working outdoors, have a passion for sustainable food systems, and enjoy working with plants, this job is for you!

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation of edible landscapes

Plant, mulch, weed, and maintain gardens, orchards, and permaculture systems

Maintain irrigation system and schedule

Planting and pruning trees

Vegetable garden maintenance

Propagation and Transplanting

Harvesting

Distribution of produce

Pick up plants and materials

Taking notes and communicating

Safely use and maintain tools and equipment

Qualifications

Agriculture degree, background in food production, accreted horticulture program(s), land management and or pertinent real life experience.

Comfortable managing multiple gardens

Verifiable experience w/ solid references

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Comfortable lifting 40+ lbs and performing physical labor

Basic knowledge of soil health, companion planting, seasonal planting of native and non-native

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Driver’s license and reliable transportation (Ideally has truck)

Must be adaptive in changing environments

Pass Employment Eligibility Verification (Form i9)

Must be a forward thinker that has creative mindset with attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage ($18-$30 based on experience)
