Fiscal Analyst

Summary of Job Details
The Fiscal Analyst performs a variety of professional financial and administrative duties in support of the day to day operations and the financial planning and administration of the department. Responsibilities include the fiscal management of the Federal Work-Study program, budgetary and fiscal reporting, reconciliation of university, state and federal student financial aid agency funds of $250 million. Engages in strategic planning, identifies innovative approaches to problem solving, develops departmental goals, plans resource allocations, and optimizes resources and efficiencies. Has direct interaction with and serves as a liaison to UCSB's Business & Financial Services. Under general guidance, exercises a high degree of autonomy in addressing department issues while independently solving problems requiring interpretation of a wide variety of federal, state and UC policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Accounting experience
Work experience in Financial Aid or related field
Intermediate level skill with excel and experience processing and analyzing large data sets
Special Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory conviction history background check
UCSB is a Tobacco-Free environment
Must maintain valid CA DL, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Pull Notice Program
Limited vacation June - September
Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm
