Octave is searching for a full-time, experienced, and driven Director of Digital Marketing to join our team. The Director of Digital Marketing should have excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for all digital channels and experience with the newest technologies and best practices for online Marketing. The ideal candidate is responsible for planning and coordinating all digital initiatives for timely, on-target marketing campaigns from concept creation to execution. They should be capable of collaborating with internal team members to drive authentic, consistent, and compelling messaging across multiple channels. Campaigns include a range of digital initiatives: email, social channels, microsites, landing pages, paid placement strategies, etc. This position involves working with external design resources, sales & marketing team members, and Octave’s preferred media partners.

Responsibilities for the Director of Digital Marketing:

Lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution along with Design and Marketing teams.

Work with the marketing team/contractors, preferred partners, and third-party vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

Collaborate with team to plan and execute all digital marketing, including email, social media, UGC networks, our own Shopify sites, microsites, video, etc.

Design, build and maintain social media presence across all platforms.

Work with vendors to measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROAS and KPIs)

Identify trends and insights, optimize spend and performance according to the results/data.

Collaborate with CEO to optimize user experience

Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

Evaluate emerging technologies and trends.

Qualifications for the Director of Digital Marketing:

BA/MS in Marketing, Advertising or related field preferred.

5+ years’ proven working experience in Digital Marketing.

Experience managing vendors and team members.

Demonstrable experience leading and managing digital tools such as email, social media, websites, etc.

Experience and knowledge with social media trends, best practices for online marketing and emerging AI

Highly creative and imaginative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.

Organized and able to work under pressure with tight timelines

Ability to manage time around unexpected situations and/or requests and prioritize workflow by opportunity

Experience in optimizing landing pages and sales funnels.

Experience with A/B and multivariant experiments.

Knowledge of Shopify, TikTok, triple whale (or other attribution platforms), a plus.

We sell these smoking accessories on our own direct to consumer websites under the brand ‘Myster’, as well as through wholesale channels to retailers nationwide and internationally. We have a strong social following for these products and given some of the marketing restrictions around this space, our social media marketing and direct to consumer efforts are very important to our success. We also own and operate ‘Clean Core’, a division of Octave that manufactures and sells (B to B) vape cartridges and filling machines for the cannabis and CBD industry.
