About the Role
A busy Primary Care/Urgent Care/Occupational Medical clinic is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our weekend team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive experience while efficiently managing front desk operations.
Hours
Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
AND
Sundays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
Greet and register patients in a professional, friendly manner
Verify insurance information and eligibility
Process patient payments and complete daily balance sheets
Communicate politely and efficiently with patients, insurance companies, and clients by phone, email, and fax.
Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills with a positive, upbeat attitude and a professional appearance.
Must have strong organizational abilities and be attentive to details
Punctuality and reliability are essential
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must have strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook email, excellent writing and typing skills, and ability to learn new check-in and billing software.
Good working knowledge of medical terminology
Previous medical office experience and an understanding of public, private, and workers comp insurance are preferred but not mandatory
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
