Located in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, Validation Ale is Santa Barbara’s newest craft brewery & kitchen, however, we are not a standard brew pub. VA’s has proven a unique ability to consistently shock guests with our high quality products - both food and beverages - and the speed at which we are delivering.

Validation Ale is hiring for the following positions:

Line Cook (day): Shifts 10am-4pm or 9am-3pm

Line Cook (night): Shifts 4pm-9pm or 5pm-10:30pm

Qualifications and responsibilities

Minimum 3 year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen

Ability to learn our detailed menu and continually cook our food to the expected standard

Ability to execute new specials each shift or cook an alternative menu

Ability to complete the necessary food preparation on shift

Ability to follow the leadership of the lead Chef

Food Safety Certification and ability to maintain protocols

Ability to maintain the daily and weekly cleaning schedule

Be on time and keep a clean appearance

Ability to stand, cook, and hustle for demanding 6 hour periods of time

Partial English for communication with the front of house

We serve the same core menu all week with additional lunch items Mon-Fri 11:30-3:30 and we open early for a limited breakfast menu on Sundays from 10-12:30 pm
