Giovanni’s of Santa Barbara, a local family-owned establishment is seeking the services of a qualified, motivated individual to join our Team for the following position:
Day Shift Supervisor – Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- supervising employees, time management tracking and ability to maintain inventory levels of food products, produce and restaurant supplies daily
- ability to use a computer system to process orders using the Point of Sale application
- assisting walk-in customers, taking phone orders and providing quotes for catering requests.
- knowledge and experience in food preparation with attention and ability to work the pizza and sandwich stations.
- other projects and day to day tasks as required by management.

Job requirements:
- Work hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm.
- Serve Safe Certification.
- Excellent food service skills.
- Ability to work the food preparation line (multiple stations)
- Ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Customer service mindset and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet, standing and walking, for an extended period of time.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach while maintaining the restaurant and performing various cleaning duties throughout the day.
- Must be comfortable with knife handling, knife safety.
- This is a 100% in person position with no option for remote work.
