The Analytics Engineering Specialist will focus on design, deployment, and management of the Global Marketing Analytics cloud-based data architecture. In this role, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the following areas: 1) Developing cloud based data pipelines and infrastructure that supports BI applications and various analytics initiatives; 2) Evaluating existing data pipelines to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data hygiene, and accuracy; 3) Working closely with stakeholders to clearly define and ensure analytics engineering project goals.Specific responsibilities include:

Follows guidance from the Data Architect and Manager of Analytics Engineering with matters of metadata accuracy and transparency.

Provides the Data Architect with required information to document the systems and processes that the engineer develops.

Maintains high quality documents for code comments, version control, and change management.

Follows architectural guidance from Data Architect and handles implementation of new data infrastructure in projects (with supervision).

Supports the collection and analysis of requirement documents such as BRD, measurement plan, ERD diagram, user flow, and translates business requirements into meaningful analytical data models.

Assists with the design, implementation, and maintenance of data frameworks that are robust enough to integrate a variety of data sources and capable of supporting real-time & self-service analytics.

Follows best practice guidance provided by Manager of Analytics Engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related course of study required or equivalent work experience.

1+ years (2+ years preferred) working experiences in IT-related areas or a data management team, some experience with metadata management, master data management, and data governance.

Previous experience with analytics work with business intelligence, corporate reporting metrics and dashboard systems, data warehousing, information infrastructure, and ETL processes.

Development work of data transformation in DOMO preferred.

Strong understanding of SQL, data schema design, dimensional modeling

Experience using Domo, Google Cloud Platform, RedShift a plus

Previous experience in best practice ETL/ELT process design and understanding of cloud-based information systems, proficiency in data management tools, experience cleansing and enriching datasets is a plus

Familiar with backend analytics engineering solutions for marketing KPI reporting, attribution model, cohort analysis, overlap analysis, user behavior analysis, etc. is a plus.

Understanding of marketing technology (Martech) landscape a plus.

Strong communications skills – must be able to explain relatively complex technology solutions in ways that are understandable and actionable to marketing stakeholders.

Must also be able to clearly articulate tactical actions to Professional/Management Levels, IT team, product team, and marketing stakeholders.

Detail oriented with excellent analytical ability.

Must be able to clearly work with marketing program owners to determine business needs and requirements and then translate that into data pipeline requirements for internal teams and external vendors.

Data curiosity, innovative thinking, and ability to identify opportunities for professional training and growth.

Ability to work with guidance and follow priorities based on direction from the Manager of Analytics Engineering.
