This role leads operational delivery within the IoT Control Center, the top cellular connectivity management platform. The team oversees feature development, releases, production operations, and customer support for over 200 million connected devices, enhancing digital experiences, infrastructure management, and automation within Cisco’s IoT portfolio. What You’ll Do
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure synchronization among all engineering and operations teams to deliver high-quality products across diverse cloud environments. Work closely with various departments to align goals and strategies.
Platform Modernization: Lead the initiative to transition our platform from monolithic applications to a more scalable and flexible container-based architecture. Spearhead the shift towards containerization to enhance the platform's scalability and adaptability.
Cloud Initiatives: Focus on optimizing resources and leveraging the advantages of various cloud platforms to boost operational agility, achieve cost efficiencies, and ensure scalability.
Drive Innovation and Efficiency: Drive innovation across all provider mobility teams, reduce time-to-market for cross-functional projects, and enhance the efficiency of software development and delivery processes.
Leadership and Vision: Drive the vision and direction of senior leadership in transforming our culture and technology, evaluating new technologies, and modernizing our toolset.
Collaboration and Communication: Develop a communications framework and build trust relationships across all teams responsible for customer delivery, from engineering to DevOps.
Team Development and Mentorship: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering teams. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
Quality Assurance: Implement best practices in quality assurance and testing to ensure that all changes introduced to production meet rigorous quality standards before release.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience leading highly technical teams effectively.
Excellent communication and influencing skills to negotiate with multiple levels of management across the organization and with outside vendors.
Extensive experience in datacenter, cloud, virtualization, and containers.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Ability to work well within a globally distributed network of colleagues to solve problems quickly.
Capability to manage multiple engagements with various teams.
