As software system architect leader, one will engage with customers to promote and define the architecture, topology, and features of leading and competitive AI fabrics, control and monitoring, and broader data center networks. The role focuses on a deep technical relationship with customers as a trusted advisor on our existing portfolio, capabilities, as well as new technology research and market trends in this space. Although the position is primarily a software based, the candidate must have strong knowledge in AI systems design including AI training and inference workloads and performance demands.The candidate must be a thought leader, with strong communication skills and be forward thinking. Additionally, as a people leader, they will build and groom a team of high performing engineers, working with them on objective setting and professional development initiatives.The candidate will regularly interact with executives and/or major customers. Interactions may involve readouts, strategic direction setting or responding professionally and proactively to potential escalations. They may also represent the organization in public speaking venues and/or community events.Detailed Description
Define, review, and recommend complex networking solutions, as well as related optimization, performant, and monitoring strategies. Focus on SONiC based AI Fabrics and how they evolve to meet the demands of future networks.
Develop and maintain close technical relationships with customers and key technology and partners on product roadmaps.
Lead RFQ SW and/or system technical responses and Celestica platform concept development efforts as appropriate.
Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers.
Enable effective demonstrations of target solutions and features through specific POCs, managing high valued customer expectations.
Deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and Technical proposals.
Act as a primary technical interface between Celestica and our customers, particularly in technical escalation.
Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business.
Identify and Champion process improvement efforts as needed.
Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc.
Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Proven Leader: 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects in a customer-facing role.
Technical Depth: Strong foundation in software engineering principles, design patterns, and relevant technologies (e.g., cloud computing, micro-services, AI/ML).
Working experience with SONiC, NIC SW Stacks, and competitive references with NVidia, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and others.
Customer Focus: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
Quality Advocate: Deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Emerging Tech Savvy: Experience with and understanding of emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and leverage them to solve customer challenges.
