We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsUnder general supervision, the HIM Clerical Specialist retrieves, reconciles and prepares medical records and loose documents for scanning. Scans medical record documents into HPF/MPF and/or E.H.R. Indexes medical record documentation in HPF/MPF and/or E.H.R. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!
You will be working electronic queues as assigned
Merging medical records
Scanning loose filing as needed
Answering telephones and acting as department receptionist
Processing requests for permanent files
Filing records, and providing assistance to physicians in locating any incomplete medical record documentation
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of acute hospital health information department experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical Terminology strongly preferred
High School Level Computer Experience
Acute Care HIM experience preferred
Ability to read, write and compose short correspondence
Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
