Members of the Finance organization at select locations will generally be expected to follow a hybrid work model, which includes two days of in-office attendance each week, with limited exceptions.Application Window is Expected to close on 12/20/2024Meet the Team The Splunk Corporate Finance team plays a meaningful role in managing and reporting all aspects of the company’s financials following Cisco's acquisition of Splunk. Spread across the United States, our team is deeply engaged in the exciting and sophisticated work of helping to financially integrate Splunk into Cisco, driving alignment across processes, systems, and teams. This dynamic environment offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to a high-impact transformation at the intersection of two industry-leading organizations.Your Impact We are seeking a meticulous and collaborative professional to join our Corporate Finance team. This role will focus on leading the corporate close process, consolidation and analysis of financial data, and reporting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about financial systems, data-driven storytelling, and cross-functional partnership within a dynamic corporate environment. Key responsibilities include:

Being responsible for the monthly lock cycle in our financial forecasting and reporting tool, Anaplan, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Building strong working relationships with Commercial FP&A team members who lead budgets for their respective functions, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.

Developing clear and insightful PowerPoint presentations that evaluate performance against the budget, providing senior leaders with actionable insights to drive decision-making.

Owning and managing corporate level assumptions and forecasts for employee benefits, bonus plans, and working with leaders within Cisco as these forecasts are bridged to Cisco benefits.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Statistics

6+ years of finance/accounting experience

Comfortable completing projects requiring individual initiative and flexibility in tight time frames with minimal direct supervision

Strong financial competence broadly across the organization (e.g., understanding of financial documents, chart of accounts, business intelligence, FP&A processes, etc.).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word

Preferred qualifications

Prior experience in Corporate finance

Familiarity with financial systems including Anaplan, SAP, Oracle, Snowflake, Tableau

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Strong verbal and written communication skills
