Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the property management industry, based in San Francisco, California. You will be providing critical support for accounting processes across multiple properties, ensuring accurate financials, handling audit requests and maintaining comprehensive records. Responsibilities: Oversee the integrity of financial records and ensure journal entries are correct Work closely with the accounting management company and CPA during audit periods Facilitate special check requests and secure approval from signers Ensure all audit requests are handled promptly to avoid delays Review existing records to identify any overlooked aspects Operate with Yardi Property Management system for various accounting tasks Ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded in the books Participate in the month-end close process Conduct bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable Maintain a detailed checklist provided by the manager for efficient workflow. Requirements Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff accountant role or similar position Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations is required Experience with General Ledger management is mandatory Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries is necessary Must have expertise in handling Month End Close proceduresRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
