DescriptionAWS Sales Marketing and Global Services Operations (SMGS) is seeking a Sales Operations Lead to work with the Core Services and Advanced Compute teams globally. This role will be a member of the Service-Aligned Operations team supporting Worldwide, GTM and Area Specialists, partnering to help grow adoption for strategic AWS domains and services. This role will require strong organizational, project management, communication and analytical skills. Essential per-requisites for success include attention to detail, ability to work independently in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environment, a start-up mindset, and willingness to be hands-on. The ideal candidate has broad technical skills and financial acumen, deep sales strategy experience, a curious mindset, ability to manage and prioritize in a complex, large, matrixed and ambiguous environment, as well as a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority.In this role, you will work closely with members of the Specialist teams for Core Services and Advanced Compute, to ensure we are capturing and surfacing the best data and information to make optimal business decisions across our global program.Key job responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to Specialized Sales leaders, leveraging data and analyses to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business

Drive improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes used by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data

Manage the administration and execution of the team’s targets, including segmentation of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results

Manage the rhythm of the business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics

Work directly with large data sets, models, and technical tools supporting them

Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation

Project-manage multiple workflows and communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbal, in a clear and easy-to-understand way

Drive simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems

Support the Annual Planning process by completing deliverables for territory, quota and goal submissions

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Experience with SFDC, Tableau or PowerBI or Amazon QuickSight, Advanced Excel skills, SQL, SmartSheet

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent

Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

Experience presenting to senior leadership

A motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market.
