Description Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join our legal team in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of public sector experience in one of their most recent roles and a strong background in litigation support. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume casework in a fast-paced legal environment.Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys, including case management and document preparation.

Draft, format, and proo legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.

Coordinate and manage court filings, including e-filing in state and federal courts, with preferred experience filing in the Northern District of California.

Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical, ensuring compliance with court and firm procedures.

Track and manage litigation deadlines, court dates, and attorney schedules.

Assist with the preparation of trial materials, including exhibit binders and witness lists.

Communicate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and government agencies as needed.

Handle administrative tasks such as calendaring, scheduling depositions, and processing legal invoices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of litigation secretary experience in a public sector role (e.g., government agency, city attorney’s office, district attorney’s office, or similar).

Proficiency in state and federal e-filing, with preferred experience in the Northern District of California.

Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and case management.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in legal document preparation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and legal billing software.

Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment with multiple attorneys.
