Description Our client in San Francisco is seeking an interim senior accounting manager for a long-term engagement. This role will play a crucial role in managing the capital assets, fixed assets, capital software, and cash management processes. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team's work related to capital assets, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and providing expertise in large public company environments. Experience with Oracle Fusion and a CPA designation are advantageous.Key Responsibilities:

Capital Assets Management: Manage the full lifecycle of capital assets, including acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and impairment assessment.

Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the maintenance of accurate fixed assets records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Capital Software Management: Manage the accounting and reporting for capital software expenditures, including capitalization criteria determination and amortization.

Cash Management: Monitor cash flows related to capital expenditures and ensure alignment with the company's cash management objectives.

Review and Oversight: Review the accounting team's work related to capital assets and fixed assets, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy and completeness.

US GAAP Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in US GAAP standards related to capital assets and ensure compliance in financial reporting and disclosures.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve capital assets management processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to ensure alignment and accuracy in capital assets accounting.

Reporting: Prepare and present periodic reports on capital assets, fixed assets, and capital software to senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

Extensive experience in capital assets management, fixed assets accounting, and cash management within large public companies.

In-depth knowledge of US GAAP standards related to capital assets and fixed assets.

Experience with Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements

CPA preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

10+ years of recent relevant financial experience

Experience with US GAAP

Proven knowledge of Oracle Fusion

Capital assets experience

Fixed assets experience

US GAAP experience

Well-founded grasp of Oracle Fusion

Solid understanding of capital assets
