Job Title: Construction Foreman

Position Overview

The Construction Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising crews on construction sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications. This role provides hands-on leadership, coordinating daily operations, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to maintain quality standards and productivity. The Foreman acts as the primary link between field crews, superintendents, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and direct construction crews and subcontractors on daily tasks and activities.

Plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet project schedules and deadlines.

Interpret details, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution.

Monitor work quality, productivity, and compliance with safety standards.

Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to improve skills and efficiency.

Coordinate delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment.

Enforce company policies, safety rules, and OSHA regulations on the job site.

Report project progress, issues, and delays to the superintendent or project manager.

Resolve on-site conflicts and problems quickly and effectively.

Assist in preparing daily logs, timecards, and progress reports.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or trade school a plus).

5+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physically able to perform construction tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation to job sites.

Preferred Skills

OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.

Experience with commercial or large-scale residential projects.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role requiring daily presence at construction sites. The position involves physical labor, outdoor work, and coordination with multiple trades.
