I'm a small remodeler/ADU builder based in central San Diego. I’m looking for a solid, part-time handyman to help out on various job sites and projects. This is not a full-time gig, but a great fit for someone who already does handyman or trade work and is looking to fill in their schedule here and there—weekends, one-day jobs, or short-term tasks.
About the work:
I’m hands-on myself and still do a lot of the labor, so I’m looking for someone similar—no ego, just skilled, reliable, and willing to do what needs doing. Work will vary depending on the project and can include:
Digging trenches
Installing doors and trim
Light framing
Painting
Cabinet install
General finish carpentry
Light mechanicals
Other miscellaneous tasks
What I'm looking for:
Jack-of-all-trades type with good tool knowledge and basic hand tools
Able to take direction, work alongside me, or knock something out solo
Clean, dependable, and communicates well
Based in Central San Diego — North County is a bit too far for this type of work
Not looking for a big outfit or crew — this is ideal for a solo handyman with flexible time
Pay:
Hourly, DOE. Paid same day or weekly depending on the job.
Shoot me a quick message with your experience, general availability, and what part of town you're based in. If you have a few pics of past work, even better.
Let’s build some good stuff.
